What is NADH
Coenzyme1 – Nicotinamide-Adenine-Dynucleotide-Hydrogen
NADH stands for nicotinamide hydrogen adenine dinucleotide and is the activated form of niacin (vitamin B3). NADH, also called coenzyme 1, is found naturally in every body and plant cell and is an important factor in increased energy and cell growth.
How does NADH act in the body?
Mode of action of NADH
Through respiration, NADH reacts in each cell with the oxygen we take in, and in the process the universal energy molecule ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and water are created. The more ATP a cell has available (ATP is increased in the cell by NADH alone), the better it functions and the longer it lives.
NADH effect
Why is the raw material of NADH vital?
The more NADH available to cells, the more energy is created, and vice versa! NADH is the most important provider of cellular energy:
- The coenzyme NADH 1 increases cell energy!
NADH is biological hydrogen, which causes energy production in the cell with oxygen.
NADH is the most powerful antioxidant and effective protection against free radicals.
No single molecule and antioxidant in the human body is more vital than the cellular agent NADH.
Through respiration, NADH reacts in each cell with the oxygen we take in, producing the universal energy molecule ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and water.
The more ATP a cell has available (ATP is increased in the cell by NADH alone), the better it functions and the longer it lives.
NADH prolongs the life of the body’s cells, tissues, and organs. Especially mitochondria are of enormous importance for regeneration and repair of already damaged cells.
Even without having any disease or illness, even just in lack of energy, or in manifestation of listlessness, fatigue, or if you simply do not feel well, NADH acts with its natural effect.
In what foods is NADH found?
Mode of action of NADH
Mainly in meat, fish and poultry, in smaller amounts also in fruits and vegetables. The highest NADH content is found in the heart and wing muscles of birds.
Because NADH is lost during the cooking process of food and is also destroyed by stomach acids, it is necessary to balance NADH requirements by taking NADH supplements.
The coenzyme NADH 1 is found in the following foods:
- Meat
Fish (e.g., sardines, mackerel, herring)
Vegetables
Soybeans,
Onions,
Potatoes,
Spinach,
Brussels sprouts and broccoli.
Fruits
Ávocados
Eggs
Cold-pressed vegetable oils such as olive oil
Wheat germ oil
Nuts (e.g., hazelnuts)
From what is NADH obtained?
NADH is obtained from brewer’s yeast, which contains very high amounts of NAD+. This NAD+ is then converted to NADH by enzymes. However, NADH is safe for people who are allergic to yeast. It is 99.9% pure substance and no longer contains traces of yeast as a processed active ingredient.
IS NADH vegan?
The active ingredient NADH is vegan (derived from brewer’s yeast) and does not contain animal products.
Is NADH considered doping?
No, the original NADH from GNP/USA-EUROPA is not considered a doping substance, this is also confirmed by Dr. Patrick Schamasch, medical and scientific director of the IOC.
How fast does NADH act?
With our NADH Business and NADH Young Generation, the effect can be felt as early as 15-30 minutes.
What is the shelf life of GNP-NADH products?
The words “best to consume preferably…. e.g. 05/2022” are printed on each GNP NADH product package. The period corresponds to 24 months from the month of manufacture. For your safety, make sure the “expiration date” is printed on the package by machine and not pasted with a label.
Is NADH a coenzyme?
Yes. NADH (nicotinamide hydrogen adenine dinucleotide) is also known as coenzyme 1.
What is NADH coenzyme 1?
NADH, Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Hydrogen, is a coenzyme that is involved in many metabolic processes in the human body. Because it is essential for the body, the body can also produce NADH on its own. NADH plays an important role in energy supply in the body’s cells.
Coenzyme1 is an energy supplier, it helps in energy production, its action lies in producing energy. Coenzyme1 supports energy production in the body’s cells (mitochondria).
With a tablet, the active ingredient NADH is absorbed by the oral mucosa and transported directly to the brain. The improvement in the ability to concentrate and react is clearly and quickly noticed. NADH Business and NADH Young Generation tablets can be taken at any time of the day as needed.
The BE-NADH microtablet (20 mg NADH per microtablet) is taken before breakfast with a glass of water. The effect (passes the stomach, absorbed in the intestines) is triggered after about 1.5 to 2 hours and lasts throughout the day.
What is the action of NMN?
NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) – a coenzyme1 protects the heart from damage caused by ischemia by counteracting the ischemia-induced drop in NAD+ levels.
Prof. Hademar Bankhofer (AUT).
“NADH, the body’s coenzyme1, is a vital cellular agent. It is a potent antioxidant, an effective protection against free radicals and a potential stimulator of metabolism. NADH strengthens the immune system and quickly restores energy balance when energy fails. I have also simply taken NADH daily for years because it gives me vitality and keeps me healthy and vital.”
“NADH is good for everyone!”

How much NADH, coenzyme 1 can or should you take per day? (daily dose)
GNP NADH products are highly dosed, with 120 mg or 22 mg of NADH per tablet/microtablet/tablet. 1-2 pieces per day is usually sufficient. Depending on your needs, you can increase the daily dose up to 100 mg of NADH without risk. This is because the body absorbs only the amount of NADH that is needed to establish energy balance in the body. The rest is disposed of naturally through the kidneys and urine.
What are enzymes and how do they work?
An enzyme, (ferment), is a substance composed of very large biological molecules that can act as a catalyst to speed up a chemical reaction. Most enzymes are proteins (protein bodies).
All vitamins are coenzymes.
(B1, B2 Complex, B6, B12, H) and vitamin K are precursors of important coenzymes, which are vital to all cells. Vitamins A, C, D and E are needed only by higher organisms.
Do NADH products have side effects? and/or interact with drugs?
All GNP products are tested and certified according to the EU HEALTH REGULATIONS by the Austrian food supervisory authority AGES and/or the “TU-Technische Universität Graz” Technical University of Graz. They are free of side effects, do not interfere with drugs (no negative drug interactions have been found in numerous scientific studies), are sugar-free, caffeine-free, non-doping products (as confirmed by the IOC), 100% vegetarian and suitable for diabetics.
Can NADH be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Yes, pure NADH (in BUSINESS NADH, BENADH).
Can children/infants take NADH products?
Yes, young children can take NADH. Infants usually do not need to take NADH yet.
How does NADH work in cosmetic products?
Numerous laboratory tests in the United States and Europe have shown that NADH as an active ingredient in a serum, gel, balm, or skin cream becomes unstable because it reacts to moisture. The active agent NADH is thus destroyed when the respective container is opened several times. Moisture is the biggest problem for the valuable active ingredient NADH. Some well-known cosmetics manufacturers have therefore discontinued such tests with NADH.
The laboratory analysis certificate from an Austrian analytical laboratory of an analyzed “NADH Skin Gel” is available to us in writing. The result is unequivocal! Six months after the date of production, the product contained only 10% NADH of the declared content. When the same product was tested again two months later, no NADH was present in the product.
23. What is Blister packaging/packaging?
“Blister” comes from the packaging industry. This term is used to describe visible packaging that allows customers to see the contents without opening the package. Because the NADH raw material in the tablets is sensitive to light, GNP-NADH tablets are packaged and protected from light with a non-transparent blister film.
GNP NADH tablets/microcompresses/tablets are packaged in specially prepared plastic films with bulges for inserting the tablets/microcompresses/tablets. The back of the blisters of the tablets are hermetically sealed with a printed aluminum foil bearing the product name. The resulting seal protects the NADH from atmospheric moisture. Hygienically unimpeachable, this type of packaging not only facilitates dosing but also protects against incorrect intake.
Important note: In the case of Nadh products packaged in jars (i.e., not packaged in blister packs), if the jar is opened several times, the Nadh active ingredient will be destroyed by moisture in the air in a very short time. Microencapsulation also does not provide sufficient protection.
